Slow progress, but the work is growing, its moved on from the image shown on the flier, this is a long loose weave based on the buildings and building materials at the quarry.
Life is getting in the way, two close relatives very ill and now I have managed to re-open a scratch on my cornea making it difficult to weave for any length of time.
I love the looseness and texture of this piece. It has a fragility about it that captures the fractured surface of aging stone.
ReplyDeleteThank you, you have another dimension to my piece that hadn't really occured to me, the fragility.
DeleteIt's lovely, Debbie. Looseness of weave adds so much. Best wishes on your challenges, life is hard.
ReplyDeleteThank you Barbara, for your best wishes and your comment.
Deletebeautiful work but look after your eye!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mo, I am restricting both my weaving and reading times with difficulty at the moment.
Deleteoooooo i know how painful that can be. love the weaving--the colors/movement/texture--take care of yourself
