 Sorry about the dreadful quality of the images, my camera decided to develop a glitch so these are taken on the other half's phone which is coming to the end of its life.
Anyhow my work and a few general views of the exhibition.

    I think the greatest thing that can happen when viewing a piece of art is to say, I recognize this. Debbie your " A Walk in the Woods" is such a piece of art for me. From the delicate leaf prints to the earthy naturally dyed colors, colors that I am drawn to time and time again, to the branch overhang above the fiber art, I close my eyes and I am taken back to places where I have lived where trees and leaves were in abundance; Thank you for this lovely memory wrapped up in prints and cloth and your grounded artist eye...

      Marti thank you so much for your generous comment. I am pleased that this piece reaches you in that way. It is an important piece for me as well as the idea came from a lovely walk I had with my daughter on one of her visits.

    Oooooh Debbie.....these are lovely! And your first photo of A walk in The Woods, doesn't prepare me for the SCALE of it!!!!! I love the size of it!!!!! That's what I miss when I see something in books, or on the web....being able to have that physical relationship with something. In this case, it's like you can allow your work to envelop the viewer! Really beautiful. I bet you're so proud. And so you should be! xxx

      Thanks Jan for your lovely comment, I have to say I am pleased with this piece, it has acheived what I was hoping it would.
      Yes it is very difficult to gauge the size of something from a photo, I know a lot of visitors think my work is larger than it is before they see it so it was good to do something that was quite large.

    and the cluster of twigs/branches is the crown of it.....the cluster makes such
    a difference....allows the Energy of the work to breathe.....

      Thanks Grace, I love to hang natural pieces from wood if possible, I am blessed to live in a place where the sea gives of its gifts.
