A bit difficult to photo as they are quite high, well out of reach of customers in the foyer area with drinks. Street is very close to Glastonbury if any of you are down that way.

  1. Debbie, this exhibition is so interesting! Your work is great, I'd love to visit but... you know... Italy is so far :(

    1. Thanks Helga, a bit to far for a visit, one of the drawbacks of blogland but so wonderful to see such diverse work from all over the world even if you can't visit.

  2. I have been watching for these photos. Thanks for also showcasing Hilary's work. It's incredible and her seemingly native designs appear to be after her time. If I could adopt any of yours Debbie, I would have a hard time choosing, but your "Amulet Figure" keeps jumping out at me!

    1. OOOPS...I meant to say Hilary's seemingly native designs appear to be BEFORE her time, not after. It's confusing, but they remind me of much older pieces.

    2. Thanks Barbara, Hilary's pieces are based on traditional rug designs I think.
She is more technically adept than I am, I don't have the patience for traditional tapestry.

  4. Debbie, I am always in awe at how you weave love of place and story in your incredible work. I spent time gazing deeply at Tapestry of Life and since I respond to art based on emotion, I looked and saw at the top, the white strands with bits of color, the beginning of life, then life fully fleshed and colored and the last third back to the expansiveness of white as we transition from our physical selves perhaps to a more spiritual self...astonishing this tapestry. Congratulations on your diverse, beautiful and meaningful work Debbie.
