South West Textile Group at Westonbirt

Skirt, top and scarf
This is my piece for the SWTG exhibition at Westonbirt Arboretum which opens today from 10 until 4 finishing on 20th of this month.
I have seen some of the other work being displayed and it looks like its well worth a visit. See their website for general information http://www.forestry.gov.uk/westonbirt

  1. In the dappled light of the forest, with leaves floating down and crackling under foot, comes a wood nymph adorned in floating cloth marked by the land, kissed by the creativity of a woman who weaves story and uses the gifts of the land...Debbie, the scarf, top and skirt are simply, exquisite.

    1. Marti I was sure I replied to your post but it seems to have disappeared. Thank you for your kind words and the imagery, love it, I think I might have to use it in my profile if that is ok with you.

    1. Thanks Liz, I find that sumac and maple leaves print well especially on the silk noil, my favourite fabric as it is easy to dye and to stitch into.
