These were all dyed in the same pot with brown onion skins, the top photo is a more accurate colour. The linen was disappointing.

Yes : union skin dye ;-) Love that colour !!! (it might be you need an other mordant for linen ..... and I would have thought the silk would do better than that)
Yes the silk is paler than I would expect but luckily right for what I needed. I don't really use mordants only soy milk to add protein to plant fibres, so I guess I won't achieve really deep colours.
