Finally

Close up a bit bright

The whole piece but rather dark

Close up
I have given up trying to get a good image of the whole piece, but here it is anyway. None of the images are actual colours of the cloth but overall I hope you can get some idea of the whole.

I am thrilled with it, the cloth has become very personal to me, a reminder of a special time and place. Also the first good result I have had from eco dyeing with plants.

  1. Oh Debbie its lovely. Extra beauty is always given to something when its made with love and represents a personal connection. I also love the earthiness of it - that seems to connect it not only to you but to the world we live in.

  2. Penny thank you for your lovely comment, I love that you love the earthiness, I hadn't connected that but that is exactly what it is, made from nature, in earth's colours.

  3. Can absolutely understand why you are so fond of it ... it is a thing of beauty indeed. Also, something about your placement choices of all the pieces has created *balance* ... something often missing in pieced work, I think, but you found yours ;>]] BRAVO.

    1. Was probably always within you, Debbie ... just needed to let the "cat" out of the "hat" ;>]]

    2. You may be right, I have since dyed two items of clothing which I am reasonably happy with, there may be no stopping me now. Though I have weaving commitments which I need to get back to.
