Our exhibition opening went quite well but it was so hot I think most people just stayed at home or went to the beach. I forgot to take any photos but these are images of my own work.

Driftwood with weaving.
This piece is about 3ft tall
The lichen weave is simply amazing, powerful design, with quite a tribal feeling. I am fascinated by how you created it; truly spectacular piece of weaving.
Thanks you for all your great comments, have not been back long from stewarding will try to put a diagram together of how the tapestry was made for my next post. For starters the weaving was done from side to side and then turned for hanging.
just so so FINE....i love the Driftwood with weave...love it a lot and the lichen...of course... those colors and the motion of it...could not be better...so Beauty Full....so
Thank you Grace your presence over here is always appreciated, I love weaving on driftwood, some people find it a strange thing to do but I love the whole thing from finding it on the beach full of sand and debris, cleaning, sanding and polishing until it is a thing of beauty once again and then gently enhancing it and giving it a new life.
Love ÿour weavings, especially lichen! How do you get that effect?

DeleteYour fiber weavings are wonderful... love how you incorporate naturals like driftwood into your weavings.
